MUHMFCIG/MUHMFCOOP Data Collection Tools for Improved Farm Management

As part of its commitment to transparency, accountability, and modern farm management, Mforya Up-Hill Mixed Farming Common Initiative Group / Cooperative (MUHMFCIG/MUHMFCOOP) has developed standardized data collection tools to support accurate record keeping across its key production sectors.

These templates are used by our farm managers, attendants, and project committees to track production performance, guide decision-making, and ensure that our operations meet best practices in agribusiness management. Members and partners are encouraged to download and use these tools to strengthen their own farm records.

Below are the official data collection templates currently in use within MUHMFCIG/MUHMFCOOP:

Feed Mill Production Data Collection Tool

This template is designed to record all activities related to feed formulation and production. It helps monitor:

  • Types and quantities of raw materials used,
  • Daily and batch feed output,
  • Production costs and efficiency,
  • Stock balance and losses,
  • Dates and responsible staff.

Table Fish Production Data Collection Tool

This tool supports proper monitoring of table fish production from stocking to harvest. It captures:

  • Pond identification and stocking dates,
  • Species and quantities stocked,
  • Feeding schedules and feed consumption,
  • Mortality and growth rates,
  • Harvest data and sales records.

Fingerling Production Data Collection Tool

This template is used for tracking fingerling breeding and nursery operations, helping to ensure quality and survival rates. It records:

  • Brood stock details,
  • Spawning and hatching dates,
  • Quantity of fingerlings produced,
  • Mortality and grading,
  • Distribution or sales to farmers.

By adopting these tools, MUHMFCIG/MUHMFCOOP continues to promote a culture of data-driven agriculture, improving productivity, accountability, and sustainability across all its value chains.

Members are encouraged to make effective use of these templates, while partners and stakeholders can also adapt them to support better agricultural reporting and performance evaluation.

For guidance on how to complete the forms, kindly contact the cooperative’s management at the head office in Mforya.
