Vision Statement of MUHMFCIG:

  1. To improve and increase the quantity and quality of livestock production in the Mforya Bafut Community, North West Region of Cameroon.

  2. The vision of MUHMFCIG is to usher in a new era of professional, commercial, and best livestock farming practices in the Mforya – Bafut Community.

Mission Statement of MUHMFCIG:

  1. Poverty alleviation within members: To create and develop strategies for income generation for the members, potential members, and founders of Mforya Up-Hill Mixed Farming Common Initiative Group.

  2. To sustain the continuous increase in demand for livestock products in the Mforya Bafut Community, generating income, and improving the livelihood of the members and founders.

  3. To instill the spirit of agricultural practices and professional agribusiness value chain procedures within the immediate community of Mforya Bafut.

The today well-known Mforya Up-Hill Mixed Farming Common Initiative Group ( MUHMFCIG ) existed in the early years of 2013 / 2014 as a mixed farmers organisation based in the neighborhood of Ndamukong New Layout of the Nkwen Bamenda III Sub Division of Mezam Division in the North West Region of Cameroon . It started with 9 ( Nine members ) notably :

OUR HISTORY

Historical Background of Mforya Uphill Mixed Farming Common Initiative Group 

The farm Ndamukong Mixed Farming organisation started in the early 2013/2014 with just 1 sower pig that farrowed 9 ; no one died given rise to a farm expansion size of 10 pigs in the shot run .This specie was a large white pig . It was very long and healthy .

When the pig farm was transfered to mforya bafut from Ndamukong, only two pigs were avialable then . That is A sower and A boa all of the duroc species of pigs ; Subsequently crossed within two days upon arrival that saw a farrowed of 14 piglets . And the farm began witnessing continues growth and development.

Muhmfcig : came to its temporal last days in 2017 ( remember the popular match pass on the 22 of September 2017 in the North West and South West History of Cameroon ) with the out break of Anglophone crisis . The pigs and fowls were auctioned and the farm shoot down for 2 years before resumption .

How MUHMFCIG was revitalized when the crisis became under control

1. The burn down structures were reconstructed. Enoe and water supply reinstated .

2. The environment was cleaned to make it Livable.

3. A loan was contracted worth 3 million to reactivate dead projects by the executive or board of delegates .

4 . At Muhmfcig, 4 sowers and 1 boar pigs all of the Niemal and large white background were bought to begin production. They all farrowed from 10 and above . Layers were also introduced to boost productions and daily income to run activities .100 browlers followed to ensure sustainability within the second phase of activities after revitalisation as the crisis witnessed a drop in violence .

5. A farm manager and farm attendant was recruited.

It started with 10 ( ten members ) notably :

With 05 (five) Board of delegates to whom the group was entrusted . In view of the desire to grow and develop in agricutural practices as seen on the group objectives , meeting days were fixed on every Sunday of the month chaired by the president . Often times on the agenda of the meeting, members will have a rotative financial contribution ” Njangi” among themselves . This made the group members to be more committee and stay together. Consequently , the group became very successful operating for 2 years .

However, with the proceeds from group earnings and members contributions; The group purchased a piece of land at 1.800.000 FCFA ( Paid in 3 installments ) in Mforya Bafut precisely at Mboumki, outside Bamenda III Sub Division where it was initially holding her meetings as the operating head office.This land was name Head Office land in 2014 when it was purchased .

To Proceed:

After the purchased of the Head Office site with a deed of conveyance drawn between the group representative Mr Anchesah Emmanuel T ( purchaser) and the Land Lady Mami Suh Odwin Mank’a ( Seller) well documented. The group began cultivation of cassava as seen on her bye laws as a activity of the group and planning to build in the years ahead .

During the group General Assembly meeting holding on 28th October, 2014 in Ndamukong street , it was unanimously agreed that the Head Office be constructed at Mforya Bafut and meetings venue changed from Ndamukong street , Nkwen Bamenda III Sub Division to Mforya in the Bafut Sub Division of Mezam Division . It was also voted in a resolution 19/123/002015 that the group be registered with the regristrar of Common Initiative groups in Mezam for a COOP-GIG Tittle . This application was done and the group name was changed from Ndamukong Mixed Farmers Organisation to “MFORYA – UPHILL MIXED FARMING COMMON INITIATIVE GROUP ” MUHMFCIG* in 2014.

By early 2015, building preparetions were made for a farm attendances structure to be put up in the nearest future .The cost was calculated and divided among the group members to provide within a year . Building works was envisaged for late 2016. This contribution was done by the above sited group members to the tune of 9 million francs CFA .

The 31st December, 2015 General Assembly meeting of MUHMFCIG saw the General Assembly of Nine persons all present holding at Ndamukong Street, Bamenda III Sub Division, of Mezam Division adopting the budget of the year with that of the building project for which Nine Million was contributed inclusively along side the production of our yearly calender and other projects . It was a successful year closure for MUHMFCIG in 2015. By 7July, 2016, ( Birth Day of the President ) all was set for the Head Office; laying of the foundation stone with all mine members present .

Work began the next day effectively with the digging and construction of a morden water supply point “Well” . Estimated at 2 .4 million Francs CFA . Considering the avialability of this water on the Head Office Site ;The farm attendance structure was constructed as follows ÷
i- 1 parlour
ii- 3 bed rooms amounting to the nearest 4 million equipped with a solar system and was the second projects after the water source was gotten. Next, was an 8 rooms structure piggry of 2m 50 – 3m 50 square each for the eight rooms estimated at 2.5 Million. The cost was as a result of left over construction remians from the building materials of the above farm attendance structure. In August of the same year 2016, a poultry structure was put up which costed 790.000 FCFA Directly opposite the farm attendance structure . This evolution was later accompanied by the building of a 1.000 capacity poultry again costing 4.4 million Francs CFA in 2017 extending to 2018 during the Anglophone crisis.

Other projects have followed suit like the (a) 2 Turkeys Poultry structure in 2019 costing 1.3 million fcfa ;
(b) A single Feed store of 300 bags capacity in 2020 costing 1.2 million fcfa ;
(c) 2 External Toilets in 2017 costing 200.000 fcfa ;

(d) A work shop in 2021 costing 500.000 fcfa ;
(e) A workshop in 2022 costing 1.8 million fcfa ;

(f) Another piggry in 2023 i.e a fattening center of 100 pigs capacity costing 2.5 million have been realised;

(g) Electricity : Eneo was installed in the farm in 2020 costing some 765 .000f cfa

MACHINES WORK :
Also , to facilitate the functioning of the farm , 5 Machines are acquired to the tune of 5 million Francs CFA between 2020 and 2023 to ensure feed processing in lab 1 & 2 respectively.

On Land acquisition, the total surface of MUHMFCIG is over 15.000 matters square progressively acquired as follows;

1 .MUHMFCIG Area with land Tittle Measuring 5.900m sq bearing Mezam lands and survey estimate of 40.000.000 fcfa with structures exclusive.

2. MUHMFCIG second purchased area with tittle under processing ; estimated of 3.500msq costing 15 million with no structure on it .

3.MUHMFCIG third acquired site with no building on it measuring 2.500 sqm ; costing 17 Million fcfa .Has a title ongoing value.

4. MUHMFCIG site to the North of the location encruching into Nkwen B’da III. Has no titile link to it as at now and carry a value of 2.5 million at purchase since 2019.Simultenously, MUHMFCIG land acquisition is progressive since the farm returns and growth is constant.

Our outstanding products and services have been piggry ,(production & fattening ) , poultry ( birds of all types ) , cultivations of all sorts etc
